The new (EU) 2016/425 PPE regulation and its effect on the PPE supply chain

In previous regulation, manufacturers were responsible for all PPE products. However, the responsibility is now extended to the entire supply chain according to new regulation (EU) 2016/425.

This means that every party involved in the supply chain of a product has to provide complete traceability of the PPE products. Traceability of the entire supply chain assists the authorities to do market surveillance easily and to identify the suppliers to manufacture non-complaint PPE products.

This regulation is executed to ensure that all parties involved in the entire supply chain are following right practices to meet the requirements as per new regulation.
